Anne-Marie Johnson was born in Los Angeles, CA on July 18, 1960. A graduate of UCLA with a B.A. degree in TheaterArts, she’s had a successful career in television and film.

Anne-Marie has guest starred in such tv series as "Different Strokes," "Houston Knights," "Babylon 5," "The District," "Living Single," "Hunter," "Murder She Wrote," "The Pretender" and "Family Law." She had recurring roles in "Hill Street Blues," "That's So Raven," "JAG" and "Girlfriends" and she was a series regular in "What’s Happening Now!," the highly acclaimed "In The Heat Of The Night," "In Living Color," "Melrose Place," "Smart Guy."

Anne-Marie has appeared in such film as "Hollywood Shuffle," "I’m Gonna Git You Sucka," "The Five Heartbeats," "Down In the Delta" and "Strictly Business."

Anne-Marie’s stage credits include "Southern Girls," "Sleep No More" and "The Robber Bridegroom." She also holds a seat on the board of the Screen Actor’s Guild and is co-chair of the Guild’s EEOC Department. She has always been politically active and is the co-founder of the We Won’t Be Ignored coalition, created to develop productive ways to open the doors of Hollywood to minority performers who would otherwise be ignored.

Anne-Marie has been married since 1996 to Martin Grey.
