BernNadette Stanis was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 22, 1953. She was bitten by the acting bug after appearing in a high school play “The Three Faces of Eve.” She graduated with honors from Eramus High School. She was accepted to the Julliard School of Performing Arts where she received her BA Degree in Drama. She won the title of Miss New York at the New York Beauty Contest.

BernNadette has guest starred in “What’s Happening Now,” “The Love Boat,” “The Cosby Show” and “The Wayans Bros.” Her breakthrough role came in 1974 when she as cast as Thelma Evans in the hit series “Good Times.”

BernNadette has been married twice and she has 2 daughters.
