Cynda Williams was born in 1966 in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Ball State University in Indiana with a Bachelor's Degree in Theater Arts.
Cynda made her film debut in Spike Lee's "Mo Better Blues." She has gone on to star in such films as "One False Move," "Caught Up" and the independent film "MacArthur Park." Her telefilm credits includes "The Wedding," "Introducing Dorothy Dandridge" and "Hidden Blessings."
Cynda also has background in theater work such as "West Side Story," "Once Upon A Matress," "A Chorus Line" and "Little Shop of Horrors."
Cynda was briefly married to actor/Academy Award winning screenwriter Billy Bob Thornton. She was also married to actor Arthur Fuller. She's currently married to former college football star Roderick Plummer and they have one child.
