Keke Palmer was born Lauren Keyana Palmer in Harvey, Illinois on August 26, 1993.

Keke made her acting debut in the feature film “Barbershop 2: Back in Business.” Other film credits include “Akeelah & the Bee” and "Madea’s Family Reunion." Her telefilm credits include the Emmy nominated movie “The Wool Cap” for which she was nominated for a NAACP Image Award for Best Actress in a Movie Made for Television and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Leading Actress and “Knights of the South Bronx.”

Keke has guest starred in “Cold Case,” “Strong Medicine,” “Second Time Around,” “ER” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.” She also starred in a pilot for the Disney Channel “Keke and Jamal.”

Keke, who’s also a singer/songwriter recently signed with Atlantic Records.
