Kenya Moore was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 24, 1974. A graduate of Cass Technical High School she also attended Wayne State University. A former Miss Michigan, Kenya became the 2nd black woman to become Miss USA in 1993.

Kenya made her acting debut guest starring in the tv series "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air." She’s also guest starred in "Martin," "Smart Guy," "Living Single," "The Steve Harvey Show," "The Jamie Foxx Show" and she had a recurring role in "In The House."

Kenya has starred in such films as "Waiting To Exhale," "Trois," "Deliver Us From Eva" and "Brothers In Arms."

Kenya is the founder of the Kenya Moore Foundation, which awards scholarships to under-privileged girls from her former high school.
