Lisa Bonet was born in San Francisco, CA on November 16, 1967 to a white Jewish mother and a black father. She began appearing in commercials at age 11 and guest-starred in an episode of "St. Elsewhere". She soon landed a recurring role on the CBS sitcom "The Two of Us." Lisa found fame in 1984 on "The Cosby Show" as Denise Huxtable, one of the four daughters of Bill Cosby’s character Cliff Huxtable.

Lisa eventually landed herself a spin-off show, "A Different World," in which her character goes to college. She stayed on the show for a year before returning to "The Cosby Show".

Lisa attracted media attention for her on-the-set tiffs with co-star Bill Cosby as well as her role as a voodoo princess in Alan Parker's "Angel Heart" in 1987. Her love scenes with Mickey Rourke had to be trimmed down so the initially X-rated feature could be reclassified and released with studio support.

After "The Cosby Show" ended Lisa appeared in such films as "Enemy Of The State," "High Fidelity" and "Biker Boyz." Her telefim credits include "New Eden" and "Lathe Of Heaven."

During her stint on "The Cosby Show" Lisa met then unknown musician Lenny Kravitz, known as Romeo Blue at that time (Lenny is the son of "The Jeffersons" star Roxie Roker). They married in 1987 and had a daughter Zoe but they divorced in 1993. In 1992, Lisa started dating yoga instructor Bryan Kest. They began living together and had a child in the mid-'90s. It was around this time that Lisa legally changed her name to Lilakoi Moon, although she still uses the name Lisa Bonet for her entertainment career.

These days, Lisa lives in Los Angeles with her children. She has also directed several music video projects (including one for ex-husband Kravitz) and currently does volunteer work with juvenile offenders.
