Regina King was born in Los Angeles, CA on January 15, 1971.

Regina made her acting debut as a tv series regular in "227." She played Brenda Jenkins and her parents were portrayed by Marla Gibbs and Hal Williams. Her tv guest appearances include "Northern Nights," "New York Undercover" and "Living Single." Regina was also a series regular in the short lived "Leap Of Faith."
Regina made her film debut in John Singleton's "Boyz in the Hood." Regina went on to appear in such films as "Jerry Maguire," "Higher Learning," "Enemy of the State," "Down To Earth" and "Daddy Day Care."

Regina and her husband Ian Alexander have a son, Ian Alexander, Jr.
