Sharon Leal was born in Tucson, AZ on October 17, 1972 and raised in Fresno, CA. Sharon graduated from Roosevelt High School of the Arts and attended junior college where she studied acting.

After appearing in music videos and singing in various cabaret productions in New York City, Sharon landed a role as Dahlia Crede in the daytime drama "The Guiding Light." She stayed on the show for 3 years. Sharon has guest starred in "Las Vegas" and had a recurring role in "LAX." She starred in the UPN drama "Legacy" and the FOX series "Boston Public" as Marilyn Sudor.

Sharon also appeared as the understudy for the lead role of Mimi on Broadway in the highly acclaimed musical "Rent" and landed the actual lead role in "Rent" in San Francisco. She also landed a role in "Miss Saigon." Sharon’s other theater credits include "Little Shop of Horrors," "Into The Woods," "Dreamgirls," "West Side Story," "Ain't Misbehavin" and "Nunsense."

Sharon is married to actor Bev Land and they have a son, Kai.
