The daughter of a black musician father originally from Nova Scotia and a white property manager mother of Scottish descent, Tamara Taylor was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on September 27, 1970. She became very familiar to tv viewers during her stint as a spokesperson in AT&T commercials.

Tamara made her feature film debut in "Senseless." She also appeared in "Graham’s Diner" and the HBO movie "Introducing Dorothy Dandridge."

Tamara has guest starred in such tv shows as "A Different World," "Providence," "Early Edition," "Dawson’s Creek," "Everwood," "Without A Trace," "CSI: Miami," "Lost" and "Numb3rs." She had recurring roles in "Party Of Five" and "City Of Angels" and she was a series regular in the NBC series "Hidden Hills" and the short lived UPN series "Sex, Love & Secrets."
