Taraji P. Henson was born and raised in Washington, D.C. She graduated from Howard University with a degree in drama. After graduating from college she headed for Los Angeles with her son.
Taraji's telefilm and feature film credits include "Satan's School for Girls," "The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle" and "Murder She Wrote: The Last Free Man" but it was the John Singleton film "Baby Boy" that brought Taraji to everyone’s attention. Other films include "Hustle & Flow," "Hair Show" and "Four Brothers."
Taraji's televison guest appearances include "Smart Guy," "Sister, Sister," "Pacific Blue," "Felicity," "Strong Medicine," "All Of Us," "House" and "CSI." Taraji was a series regular in Lifetime's "The Division."
