Tisha Campbell-Martin was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on October 13, 1968. After moving to New Jersey with her parents she became interested in show business. She appeared in such children's TV shows as "Unicorn Tales," "Big Blue Marble" and "Wonderama" in the late 1970s and early 80s. Tisha also appeared in the stage production of "Betsy Brown" (directed by Joseph Papp) and starred in "Really Rosie" and "Mama, I Want to Sing." Her big break came as one of the back-up singers in the off-Broadway production of "Little Shop of Horrors" in 1986, a role she reprised for the Frank Oz-directed film version. Tisha eventually graduated from the Newark School for the Performing Arts.

In 1986 Tisha starred in the telefilm "Rags To Riches." She would eventually star in the "Rags to Riches" tv series. Tisha’s tv guest appearances include "A Different World," "Blossom," "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" and "Roc." Tisha has a recurring role in the UPN series "All Of Us. She was a series regular in "Linc‘s," "Martin" with Martin Lawrence and the ABC series My Wife & Kids" with Damon Wayans.

Tisha has been married to actor Duane Martin since 1996 and they have a son, Xen.
