Victoria Rowell was born on May 10, 1960 in Portland, Maine. At the age of eight Victoria received a scholarship to the Cambridge School of Ballet. She later received scholarships to both the School of American Ballet and the American Ballet Theater after years of ballet training.

Victoria made her acting debut in the movie "Leonard Part 6" in 1987. She’s also appeared in such films as "The Distinguished Gentleman," "Dumb & Dumber" and "Eve’s Bayou." Victoria has made guest appearances in such tv shows as "The Cosby Show," "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" and "Family Law."

Victoria was a regular in the daytime soap series "The Young and The Restless" from 1990-1998, reappeared in 2000 and returned to the show in 2002. Victoria was doing double duty on television. While appearing in "The Young and The Restless" she was also a regular in the tv series "Diagnosis Murder" from 1993 to 2001.

In 1989, Victoria married Tom Fahey, an airline pilot. Shortly before the birth of their daughter, Maya, Victoria and Tom divorced. Victoria also has a son Jasper by jazz musician Wynton Marsalis.

When Victoria's not filming she's busy with the organization she founded 12 years ago, Rowell's Foster Children Positive Plan which provides scholarships for inner-city foster children in fine arts, reunification camps, sport camps, and job opportunities.
