Vivica A. Fox was born on July 30, 1964 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She made her acting debut in the daytime drama "Days of Our Lives" but she gained more prominence in the daytime drama "Generations." She only worked in "Generation" two days a week so she kept her day job as a waitress. She went on to appear in another daytime drama "The Young and the Restless."

Vivica's telefilm credits include "The Tuskegee Airmen" and "Solomon." Her television guest appearances include "China Beach," "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," "Martin" and "The Hugleys." Vivica was a series regular in "Arsenio," "Getting Personal," "Out All Night," "City of Angels" and the Lifetime tv series "MISSING."

Vivica made her feature film debut in the movie "Born on the Fourth of July" but it was her appearance in the hit movie "Independence Day" that brought her worldwide attention. She has gone on to appear in such films as "Set It Off," "Batman & Robin," "Soul Food," "Why Do Fools Fall in Love" and "Juwanna Mann."

Vivica is divorced from rapper Sixx Nine.
